Job summary

Sentara Urgent Care Chimney Hill in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Part-Time Radiology Technologist to join our urgent care team. You will perform general diagnostic radiologic imaging studies under the direction of a physician, including patient positioning and operating radiology equipment. Hours are Mon-Fri, 8a-8p, and weekends 8a-4p.

Part Time equals 20 hours/week. A Registry-eligible graduate must obtain ARRT registration within 90 days of hire; Virginia licensure is required for staff.

Qualifications

• Registry eligible graduate and must be registered within 90 days of hire.
• Virginia license as Radiologic Technologist is required.
• Phlebotomy competency may be required at some sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general diagnostic radiologic imaging studies under physician supervision.
• Position patients for accurate anatomy/pathology demonstrations.
• Operate radiation-producing equipment and radiology information systems.
• Prepare patient rooms, equipment and medications for imaging procedures.
• Assist with phlebotomy when site performs radiology and lab.

Sentara Urgent Care Chimney Hill is now hiring a Part-Time Radiology Technologist in Virginia Beach, VA!

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8a-8p, Weekends, 8a-4p. Part Time 20 hours/week.

As a Radiology Technologist, you will conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic Radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications.

Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.

Certification/Licensure

Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must be registered within 90 days of hire.

Licensed Rad Tech required for staff employed in Virginia.
