Job summary

St. Charles Health System seeks a General Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic studies and related procedures with minimal supervision as directed by department and hospital guidelines. You will work as a collaborative team member in diagnostic testing and patient care.

The role requires current Oregon OBMI and ARRT (RT) licensure, BLS within 6 months of hire. Preferred ARRT credentials in MRI, mammography, or related fields; one year of diagnostic radiography experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon OBMI license and ARRT in Radiologic Technology (RT).
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Graduate of a certified radiologic technology training program.

Responsibilities

• Performs General Radiology examinations per department policies and protocols.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and health professionals in diagnostic testing procedures.
• Follows health and safety policies to ensure quality patient care.
• Assists in quality control and performance improvement measures.
• Maintains records and statistics as requested.
• Performs clerical duties, transports patients, and manages inventory.
• Participates in student training when requested.
• Operates PACS, EMR, and teleradiology systems.
• Position patients for optimal imaging with professional, caring demeanor.
• Sets equipment for best density, detail, and contrast; minimizes radiation exposure.
• Complies with policies and regulatory requirements; maintains unit cleanliness.
• Adheres to AIDET to prepare patients for procedures and ensures clear communication.
• Delivers timely, accurate patient service and care; supports organizational change.
