Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required.
• One year current experience as a staff technologist preferred.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
• Recent X Ray Technologist graduates must achieve registered status in 12 months.
• DEXA scanner users must achieve registry within 12 months of assignment in DEXA by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry or equivalent.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.
• Clinical Instructor Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Diagnostic Supervisor, uses stationary or portable imaging modalities in providing patient imaging services.
• Insures patient positioning and preparation of facilities, equipment and supplies for patient services.
• Transfers patients between wheelchairs, stretchers, exam tables and patient units.
• Duties include bone densitometry, as well as all general radiographic procedures.
