Job summary

Flowers Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with a strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort. You will work to ensure high-quality images while following regulatory standards and departmental guidelines.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, verifying orders, and documenting in PACS, as well as maintaining equipment and collaborating with the care team to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of clinical experience as a radiologic technologist required.
• ARRT certification required; state license as applicable; BCLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently with diagnostic-quality images.
• Adheres to ALARA and participates in Image Gently/Image Wisely to minimize exposure.
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, identifies with two identifiers, and explains procedures.
• Maintains equipment, follows infection control, and ensures safe, organized patient care areas.
• Documents and verifies documents in PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and administration to support patient care.
• Inserts IV catheters for contrast injections during CT or MRI per policy.
• Maintains regular attendance and adheres to all policies and standards.
