Job summary

Indiana Regional Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures including chest and skeletal exams in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.

You will properly position patients, adjust equipment, ensure ALARA radiation safety, verify identifications, operate PACS, and collaborate with radiologists and nurses to deliver high-quality exams while maintaining strict documentation and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• ARRT registration within 6 months of graduation; BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., chest, skeletal, fluoroscopy) per orders.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal images.
• Maintain ALARA radiation safety and proper protective measures.
• Verify patient identification and procedure orders before exams.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment; report malfunctions or needed repairs.
• Upload and review images in PACS, ensuring quality for interpretation.
• Follow protocols for image storage, labeling, and documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care team for accurate, timely exams.
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort.
• Assist during emergency or portable imaging procedures as needed.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation per regulatory and hospital standards.
• Stay current with continuing education, licensure, and certification requirements.
