Job Summary

Performs a variety of radiographic procedures applying ionizing radiation.

Essential Functions

  • All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
  • Demonstrates competency in performing ERCPs, video fluoroscopies, OR procedures, Lumbar punctures, bronchoscopies, enterocolitis, sialography, rhizotomy, facet blocks, endoscopy-tube placements or injections, T-tube cholangiogram, trauma, NICU, pacing lab, and other critical care procedures. Troubleshoots equipment issues. Obtains nursing assessments when needed. Ensures quality images with proper markers and documentation. Responds to codes and emergencies. Checks organizational updates regularly. Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Promotes patient safety and ensures smooth workflow. Maintains good relationships with staff, physicians, and supervisors. Communicates delays to patients and families.
  • Ensures quality control of images, accurate documentation, and proper operation of PACS and billing systems. Completes charges and documentation after procedures.
  • Strives for high patient satisfaction scores, adhering to Prisma Health's patient experience standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, or director.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited radiology program.
  • No experience required; grandfathered from minimum requirements as of 11/08/2020, pending regulatory compliance.

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • ARRT Registered
  • SCSQRSA License
  • CPR Certified

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment and proficient computer skills, including data entry, PACS, and EMR systems.
