Job Summary

Performs a variety of radiographic procedures applying ionizing radiation.

Essential Functions
  • All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
  • Demonstrates competency in performing ERCPs, video fluoroscopies, all OR procedures, lumbar punctures, bronchoscopies, enterocolitis, sialography, rhizotomy, facet blocks, endoscopy-tube placements or injections, T-tube cholangiogram, major trauma/trauma bay, neonatal ICU, pacing lab. Performs all critical care procedures and demonstrates skill in troubleshooting equipment. Ability to assess patient condition and cooperation, notify nurses, document infiltrates and reactions, quality check images, and manage IVACs. Responds appropriately to codes and emergencies. Keeps updated on organizational changes.
  • Promotes patient care and safety. Ensures smooth workflow, proper equipment use, and good relationships with staff, physicians, and patients. Communicates delays to patients and families.
  • Performs quality checks on images, documents additional info in PACS or EPIC, charges procedures and supplies, and verifies studies before archiving.
  • Achieves patient satisfaction scores and adheres to Prisma Health's behavior standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor, manager, or director.

Minimum Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited radiology program.
  • No experience required.

Current employees as of 11/08/2020 are grandfathered from minimum requirements pending regulatory approval.
