Job Summary
Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films as directed by care providers and performs routine diagnostic procedures.This position is bonus eligible, follow this link for details.
Essential Functions

Demonstrates competency in performing ERCPs, video fluoroscopies, OR procedures, Lumbar punctures, bronchoscopies, enterocolitis, sialography, rhizotomy, facet blocks, endoscopy-tube placements or injections, T-tube cholangiogram, and procedures in trauma bays, NICU, pacing labs. Performs critical care procedures and demonstrates knowledge in troubleshooting equipment and complex studies. Able to assess patient condition and cooperation, notify nurses of reactions, and document findings. Checks image quality, includes markers and pertinent information, and documents in PACS or EPIC. Responds to codes and emergencies appropriately. Keeps abreast of departmental updates via email. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Promotes patient care and safety, ensures smooth workflow, proper equipment use, and maintains good relationships with staff, physicians, and supervisors. Assists in staffing needs and communicates delays to patients and families.
Ensures quality of images before sending to radiologists, includes necessary markers and information, and documents appropriately. Manages patient charges and procedure completion, including fluoro time and surgical charges. Operates PACS system effectively.
Aims to achieve high patient satisfaction scores and adheres to Prisma Health's patient experience standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Certification from an accredited radiology program.
Experience: No experience required.
