Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an educational program accepted by the ARRT is required.
• Working knowledge of radiographic principles, including positioning, image processing, quality control, and radiation protection is required.
• Registration with the ARRT is required.
• ND state licensure with the ND Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board may be required if working in North Dakota.
• If working in South Dakota, ARRT certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• In Iowa, a permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health is required where applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging examinations with quality images.
• Ensures accurate patient positioning per provider requests.
• Implements radiation safety guidelines and protection practices.
• Navigate the EMR system effectively.
• Perform mobile imaging, EKGs, cardiac monitoring placement, and DEXA procedures.
