Job summary

Garden City Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist I for the Evening shift in the Radiology department. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensuring high-quality images, and maintaining patient safety throughout imaging visits.

The ideal candidate will be licensed as a Radiologic Technologist, ARRT (R) certified, with BLS certification and knowledge of PACS and RIS systems. Join a team dedicated to quality care and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Current state Radiologic Technologist license and fluoroscopy permit, as required by state regulations.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to diagnostic imaging.
• Proficiency with PACS, radiology information systems, and computer applications.
• Strong communication, patient care, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper identification throughout imaging procedures.
• Process, review, and transmit images to PACS for interpretation and storage.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in quality assurance (QA), performance improvement (PI), and quality control (QC) activities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within electronic systems.
• Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care.
• Provide excellent customer service and serve as the primary point of contact for patients during imaging visits.
