Responsibilities

As a Radiology Technologist at Virginia Mason, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.

You may perform a variety of imaging examinations such as x-rays and diagnostic fluoroscopy. Working directly with patients is essential, as you play a significant role in their experience.

Understanding the importance of diagnostic imaging is crucial, including knowledge of imaging workflows, patient positioning, and capturing precise results for accurate diagnosis.

Qualifications

We Require

  • Washington State certification for Radiologic Technologist and ARRT certification.
  • Graduation from an accredited diagnostic radiologic program or equivalent training.
  • 24 hours of continuing medical education every two years.
  • Valid CPR license renewed biennially.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to technological changes, manage stress appropriately, attend to multiple tasks, work independently, and be versatile and flexible.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
