GENERAL SUMMARY

Location: Henry Ford St. John Hospital, 22101 Moross Rd, Detroit, MI 48236

Sign-on Bonus: $4,500

Part Time Benefit Eligible

Shift: PT 24 hours per week, midnight 11p-7:30a, every other weekend and holiday rotations

Job Responsibilities

1. Take radiologic films to provide quality images to physicians for diagnosis.
2. Prepare and position patients for imaging, selecting exposure factors accurately.
3. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope and regulations.
4. Observe patient during procedures and report abnormal activity.
5. Monitor protocols, recommending updates as needed.
6. Follow radiation safety procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure.
7. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
8. Ensure equipment is functioning properly; report issues promptly.
9. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized department.
10. Position patients and select parameters accurately.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or
• Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or
• Technical degree within 6 months of hire.

Certification and Licenses

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire or transfer (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted).
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist credential in Radiography obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer.
