Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiology, ensuring high-quality images while maintaining patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced setting.

You will review requests, document thoroughly, and operate imaging systems; trauma/orthopedic exams are included. Strong communication and compassion are essential, with ARRT certification eligibility within one year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical information and reconcile physician requests with exams ordered.
• Complete essential documentation prior to beginning patient’s exam.
• Perform diagnostic radiology exams including trauma and orthopedic.
• Inspect all images for quality and proper documentation; present to Radiologist for interpretation.
• Transport patients to and from Immediate Care.
• Assist supervisor in teaching and monitoring new personnel.
• Demonstrate proficiency with RIS and PACS.
• Respect confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA.
• Demonstrate compassion and patience in all patient interactions.
• Practice ALARA radiation safety and use shielding as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care at all times.
