Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the imaging team. You will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment across the emergency department, operating room, inpatient units, pediatrics, and outpatient services, ensuring safe and positive patient experiences.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT(R) registration or equivalent and 1 year of clinical radiology experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT) or equivalent required credential.
• One year of clinical radiology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures and produce high-quality images for physician review.
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and provide support throughout the imaging process.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures and communicate changes or concerns to the care team.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain imaging equipment while following established protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
• Document patient information accurately and help maintain an efficient workflow across multiple clinical areas.
