Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join a mission-driven team. The role involves performing radiology procedures and CT imaging, while leveraging PACS, RIS, and EMR systems for accurate data management.

Qualifications

• Able to perform radiology procedures accurately and according to established standards.
• Effective communication with radiologists or referring practitioners when immediate attention is needed.
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS and HIS EMR systems for data entry and image handling.
• Commitment to safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures accurately and efficiently according to established standards.
• Initiates proper intervention to radiologist or referring practitioner when an exam requires attention.
• Reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Uses PACS/RIS/HIS EMR systems and performs general clerical duties.
• Archives image data for permanent storage and sends images to radiologist group.
