St. David's Georgetown Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment for routine and semi-complex examinations. The role includes patient care, image development, and timely PACS transmission.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, an ARRT certification, MRT license in Texas, BLS, and an accredited radiology program completion. On-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist - preferred.
• Graduate of an educational program in Radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) OR graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology OR a military training program of equivalent standards.
• High School Graduate / GED
• Associates Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Responsibilities

• Operate standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within allowed scope and regulations.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system and maintain image quality and accurate patient data/history.
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
