Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a Radiology Technologist for Genesis Hospital in Ohio. The role involves performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with attention to diagnostic quality and patient care.

The candidate will utilize HIS, RIS, and PACS systems to manage imaging data and collaborate with physicians. Required are ARRT registration (or equivalent) and Ohio radiology licensure, CPR certification, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Registered by the ARRT in radiography or equivalent.
• State of Ohio radiology license.
• Proficiency in diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy procedures.
• Familiarity with computer systems (HIS, RIS, PACS).
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to perform procedures.
• Determine technical factors for adequate diagnostic images.
• Follow radiation safety policies and procedures.
• Assist physicians during imaging procedures as required.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as directed by a physician.
• Access and distribute procedure information via HIS/RIS/PACS.
• Assist in transporting patients to the department.
• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Participate in training of radiology students with supervision and evaluation.
• Be available for on-call emergencies as needed.
• Contribute to quality assurance activities in the department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
