Job summary

La Clinica de La Raza in Oakland, CA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures under the direction of the Medical Director. The position requires an AA degree or equivalent, ARRT certification, California CRT license, BLS, and 2 years of radiology experience.

The role includes selecting exposure factors, patient positioning, and safety/quality control in a community health setting.

Qualifications

• General medical office procedures knowledge.
• Ability to read safety rules, manuals and procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
• Able to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic exams as prescribed by physicians.
• Determines exposure factors and verifies radiation intensities.
• Positions patients for proper views of the affected area.
• Instructs patients on procedural requirements.
• Maintains technique charts in rooms per state laws.
• Monitors area to protect personnel and patients.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
