SUMMARY: The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible and accountable for providing radiologic services, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the Cath Lab.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Completion of course in accredited school for Registered Radiologic Technologist
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related work experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist, previous experience in Cardiac, ECG interpretation or special procedure preferred.
Certification: ARRT, Arkansas Department of Health Radiology License, and current BLS required
Safety Sensitive Designation:
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat and twist up to or exceeding 8 to12 hours during shift(s). Occasionally requires lifting of 50 pounds or more of equipment. Able to push in excess of 150 pound wheelchair with patient and equipment. Occasionally lifts patients with assist 125 pounds or more. Spends 8 hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations of CPR and obtaining equipment. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Has a keen sense of hearing and keen visual acuity to respond to critical changing patient situations from actual observations and/or equipment alarms. Must be able to work regular assigned shift and provide on call coverage to staff after hours, holidays and weekends.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Normal hours are Monday through Friday. Call is expected on weeknights, weekends and holidays. The employee must be able to respond and arrive in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes. Ability to work flexible hours, including flexibility with daily starting and ending times. Overtime is typical.
