Job Overview

This PRN position involves providing support during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The role requires competence in all Cath/EP or IR procedures, operation of imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety and quality assurance.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide scrub support during procedures, anticipating provider needs.
  2. Operate imaging and related equipment proficiently; serve as a radiation safety resource.
  3. Communicate clearly with providers and team members to ensure technical and quality standards.
  4. Deliver patient care safely, following sterile techniques and safety protocols.
  5. Advocate for patients, document care, and identify educational needs.
  6. Provide team training on technical skills, radiation safety, and imaging techniques.
  7. Assist with supply inventory and serve as a technical resource.
  8. Participate in meetings and ongoing education.
Qualifications
  • Current RT licensure in IL, AART certification, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months.
  • 2-year Associate Degree in Radiology from an accredited school.
  • Preferred: Experience in X-ray and imaging special procedures.
