Atrium Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic examinations under the direction of a Radiologist. The role involves coordinating daily activities, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining records. Ideal candidates will have completed a Radiology Technology Program and hold BLS certification.

Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitoring supplies. Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. May frequently need to stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel when operating radiographic equipment. Must be able to use hands for gripping, speed work, and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in assisting injured or diseased patients. Vision and hearing for distances up to 10 feet are necessary. May be exposed to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
Performs radiographic examinations proficiently, utilizing radiation safety practices to produce high-quality images under general supervision and the direction of the Radiologist. Coordinates daily activities, including performing examinations and clerical duties. Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA-approved facility is required. Registration by the ARRT is required, or if a new graduate, must be eligible for registry and registered within 1 year of hire. One year of direct patient care experience is preferred. BLS certification is required per policy guidelines.
