Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment. Performs under the supervision of a radiology technologist. Assists in monitoring the flow of patient activities in the department.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Requires moderate to heavy physical effort in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting. Frequent stretching, bending, twisting, squatting, or kneeling. Exposure to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and proximity to moving equipment. Must follow radiation safety guidelines, MRI safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field. Clinical experience related to the educational program. Medical clerical skills preferred.
