Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification required as listed in posted qualifications.
• Active state radiologic technologist license where practice occurs.
• Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical functions.
• Prepares patient, verifies identity, and obtains proper exam readiness.
• Performs exams per protocol and reviews image quality for accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains safety.
• Completes studies within time limits without compromising care.
• Assists students and staff with exam protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems for quality imaging.
• Maintains records of procedures and any adverse reactions.
• Follows coding, charging, and QC protocols; reports equipment failures.
