Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our diagnostic team. You will perform highly complex radiology exams, coordinate equipment, and manage technical factors to ensure quality results while prioritizing radiation safety.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT certification with current licensure, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of radiography training in an accredited program.

Qualifications

• ARRT certified; current license as required by the state.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years of radiography training in an accredited program.
• Working knowledge of all radiological equipment; able to perform highly specialized exams as part of the diagnostic team.

Responsibilities

• Types, proofreads, and mails results of the exams.
• Coordinates multiple factors to achieve a quality exam in appropriate timeframe.
• Utilize radiation safety devices.
• Attends departmental in-services and other staff development programs.
• Maintains and cleans equipment work areas and reports all malfunctions or breakage appropriately.
