Job summary

Southcoast Health in Wareham, MA is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our imaging team. The role involves performing radiographic exams, positioning patients, and ensuring high-quality images within ALARA guidelines.

The position offers a generous new-hire sign-on bonus of $8,000, flexible 24-32 hour schedules, and day/evening shifts with every third weekend and holiday. Eligible staff receive a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT Radiography certification within one year of eligibility.
• Current RT licensure in MA and/or RI based on location assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified clinical patient care and radiologic procedures as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Obtain patient information, educate patients for exams, and document data in the EHR.
• Position patients and select imaging equipment and parameters to produce quality images.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure and assist physicians as needed.
• Perform Front Desk and Medical Assistant functions as required.
