Mayo Clinic is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a position in Rochester, Minnesota.
The role involves optimizing patient experience and supporting healthcare providers by responding to patient needs and assisting technologists and physicians with various modality exams and procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring safe patient care, coordinating patient flow, scheduling exams, transporting patients, updating electronic records, preparing and assisting patients, positioning patients, communicating scheduling updates, liaising with providers, and maintaining supply stock in modality rooms.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with two years of related experience, or an Associate Degree in a healthcare or service-related field. Preferred experience includes hospital or outpatient clinic settings. Completion of medical terminology course, BLS, MRI safety, and safe patient handling training are required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Strong computer skills and understanding of insurance terminology are also necessary.
Additional qualifications: Certification as Medical Assistant (MA), Patient Care Assistant (PCA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Certification in CPR is required within 90 days of hire.
