Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates degree in Radiology is required.
• Must be able to multi task daily.
• On-call availability after hours may be required.
• Familiarity with radiology terminology and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in care and maintenance of Diagnostic Radiology equipment and supplies.
• Sets up and adjusts radiology equipment per protocol for exams.
• Operates radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality images using ALARA standards.
• Reviews requests, assesses patient condition, and prepares for procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and maintains aseptic technique.
• Assists with administration of medications under physician direction as needed.
• Performs quality controls on images and supports training within the department.
