Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Campus is seeking a Radiology Technologist (Full-Time, Day shift) to perform radiographic imaging procedures and support patient care. Location: Shawnee Mission, KS 66204. Eligible for $10,000 sign-on bonus and adhere to safety standards.

The role requires patient positioning, equipment operation, documentation in EMR/PACS, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program
• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure accurate information
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff and physicians effectively
• Knowledge of health care concepts, practices and procedures
• Ability to use radiography software packages such as EPIC, PACS
• Maintain required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic Imaging
• CPR knowledge and basic life support
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations
• Multi-task in fast-paced environment with strong critical thinking

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse patients and staff
• Move and position radiographic equipment to safely complete procedures
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and monitor patient condition
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked and equipment is cleaned and tested
• Coordinate with inventory and notify when supplies are low
• Cross-train into advanced modalities as needed
• Follow ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure
• Perform radiographic procedures and ensure high-quality images meet standards
• Document patient demographics and exam information in EMR/PACS
• Assist patients during procedures with safety and privacy compliance
