Job summary

MedStar Health in Herndon, VA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as EKGs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, and donor services. You will obtain vital signs, assist with interventional procedures as allowed by state law, and ensure proper documentation and patient education.

The role requires ARRT certification, an associate degree is preferred, and prior experience is not strictly required.

Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) is required.
• Associate's degree preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to department goals while adhering to policies, procedures, quality and safety standards.
• Develops film and evaluates technical quality of radiographs.
• Maintains clean, orderly work areas and reports unsafe conditions; maintains X-ray equipment and performs preventative maintenance.
• Obtains patient history, answers questions, and explains procedures.
