Job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technologist with interest in CT to join our team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality radiographic and CT procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • CT and Radiology Imaging: Perform CT and general radiology exams (including C-arm and portable) following established protocols. Prepare and position patients, ensure radiation protection, and maintain comfort throughout procedures.
  • Contrast Administration: Administer contrast agents under Radiologist supervision per site-specific protocols.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently. Perform routine quality checks, report malfunctions, and coordinate service calls as needed.
  • Compliance and Communication: Maintain CT competency and adhere to departmental standards. Communicate professionally with team members regarding exams and patient status.
  • Patient Care and Support: Greet patients, explain procedures, assist with transfers, and provide reassurance. Inform patients of post-exam instructions.
  • Administrative and Transport Duties: Answer phones, schedule imaging appointments, and assist with workflow coordination. Transport patients or perform portable imaging in rooms, the ER, or surgical areas.
  • Quality and Safety: Participate in quality control programs, ensuring proper radiation protection, patient safety, and adherence to best practices.
Education and Training
  • Associate degree from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Wisconsin state license.
