University Health System- San Antonio seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures with professional autonomy, adhering to ARRT standards and Health System policies. Duties include independent judgment and efficient duty execution within a collaborative radiology team.
The role requires ARRT registration or eligibility and Texas MRT/TMRT certification, plus current CPR/BLS for healthcare providers. On-site hospital placement with a focus on patient care and teamwork.
Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis. Performs radiologic procedures within the professional parameters established in registry requirements and policy and procedures specifications of the Health System. Assumes responsibility for assigned duties promptly and efficiently. Complies with instructions from supervisor to whom responsible. Contributes to the overall success of the Radiology team. Maintains a good working relationship with co-workers and other University Health employees, patients and guests.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, or eligibility to take the registry with one year grace period for new graduates from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Texas Department of Health (MRT) Certification or a temporary Certification (TMRT) is required. Must also have current Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association.
