Job summary

A leading healthcare institution in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform independent radiographic procedures. The ideal candidate must be registered or eligible for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, hold the Texas MRT Certification, and have current CPR certification. Qualifications

  • Eligibility to take the registry with one year grace period for new graduates from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Ability to perform radiographic procedures with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of technical procedures using ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.
  • Assumes responsibility for assigned duties promptly and efficiently.
  • Complies with instructions from supervisor to ensure successful outcomes.

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
Texas Department of Health (MRT) Certification or temporary Certification (TMRT)
Current Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED)

Job description

Responsibilities

Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis. Performs radiologic procedures within the professional parameters established in registry requirements and policy and procedures specifications of University Health. Assumes responsibility for assigned duties promptly and efficiently. Complies with instructions from supervisor to whom responsible. Contributes to the overall success of the Radiology team. Maintains a good working relationship with co-workers and other University Health employees, patients and guests.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, or eligibility to take the registry with one year grace period for new graduates from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Texas Department of Health (MRT) Certification or a temporary Certification (TMRT) is required. Must also have current Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association.
