Job summary

Center for Special Surgery in St. Petersburg, Florida is seeking a Per Diem Radiology Technologist to perform basic to complex diagnostic radiography procedures as requested by a licensed physician in an ambulatory surgery center.

Candidates must hold ARRT licensure, State license if required, BLS/ACLS, and have at least 1 year of experience; strong communication with patients and health-care team is essential.

Qualifications

  • ARRT licensure or certification is required.
  • State health department license if required by the state.
  • BLS and ACLS as required by the center/hospital.
  • Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic procedures as directed by a physician.
  • Works in ambulatory surgery center or surgical hospital.
  • Ensures patient safety and image quality.
  • Maintains equipment and records.

Center for Special Surgery is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.

PRN Radiology Technologist at Center for Special Surgery

The Radiology Technologist performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures as requested by a licensed physician in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or Surgical Hospital.

Qualifications
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) licensure/certification
  • State Department of Health License if required by the state
  • BLS and ACLS if required by the center/hospital
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the health care team
