Work Schedule:

• 20 hours per week, with several shift options available!


• 5-, 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available, with possible opportunities to work shorter shifts, as well!


• Rotating daylight and evening shifts between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.


• Rotating Saturdays (12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) and Sundays (10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) factored into schedule.


• No major holidays or overnight hours required!

Location Coverage:

• The Radiology (Diagnostic, X-Ray) Techs will travel to all locations up to approximately 50% of the time.


• Preference in locations will be considered as much as possible, but will ultimately depend on operational coverage needs.


• Locations: Children’s North (Wexford), Children’s South (Bridgeville), Children’s East (Monroeville), Children’s West (Moon), Children’s Express Care Cranberry (UPMC Lemieux Center), and Children’s West Mifflin.

Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based on individual experience and education, at manager discretion.

Responsibilities:

• Properly identifies all patients by using two patient identifiers.


• Reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required.


• Administers PO/enteral and rectal contrast per physician orders.


• Ensure exams are coded, tracked, networked, and charged correctly.


• Performs diagnostic radiography and other procedures utilizing established protocols/procedures.


• Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data.


• Interacts with patients and co-workers with care, dignity, and respect.


• Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient's fears and solicit their cooperation.
