UPMC’s Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh seeks a full-time Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and related procedures with compassionate patient care. Work Schedule:

• Rotating shifts, including day, evening, and night hours.
• Rotating on-call, weekend, and holiday hours.
• Limited, if any, travel to Children's satellite and Express Care locations.

Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based on individual experience and education, at manager discretion.

Responsibilities:

• Properly identifies all patients by using two patient identifiers.
• Reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required.
• Administers PO/enteral and rectal contrast per physician orders.
• Ensure exams are coded, tracked, networked, and charged correctly.
• Performs diagnostic radiography and other procedures utilizing established protocols/procedures.
• Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data.
• Interacts with patients and co-workers with care, dignity, and respect.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient's fears and solicit their cooperation.
