Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CT technologist for a part-time day shift in the CT Scan department. The role involves preparing patients and operating CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

Requirements include ARRT CT certification and completion of an ARRT- or NMTCB-recognized program, with state licensure. Prior CT experience is preferred, and the candidate should be able to adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. ARRT radiography program or NMTCB nuclear medicine program graduate, required.
• Experience: One year CT experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT CT RT(R)/(N) or CNMT; RT(CT) within 6 months; state license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for CT procedures.
• Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Maintain compliance with ARRT life-support and safety requirements.

CT Tech Part Time Days Job Summary:

The CT technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What You'll Do

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.
