Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure patient safety. You will operate radiographic equipment, position patients, monitor conditions, and maintain clean exam rooms in a fast-paced setting.

Full-time schedule with day shifts, sign-on and relocation bonuses, and opportunities for professional growth. Prior ARRT certification and BLS are required; 1+ year radiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-certification radiology experience is required.
• Ability to analyze data, techniques, and equipment.
• Knowledge of patient positioning and radiographic equipment operation.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and health care professionals.
• Registered Technologist – Radiography (ARRT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers and staff.
• Move and operate radiographic equipment to complete procedures safely.
• Perform direct patient care duties within scope of practice including monitoring patient condition.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and equipment is maintained and safe.
• Cross-train into advanced modalities as needed.

Job Description

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4am-2:30pm

Sign On Bonus: Up to $3750

Relocation Bonus: Up to $1500

Responsibilities

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.
• Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.
• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma
• Previous Radiologic Technologist Experience [Preferred]
• One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers
• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
• Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment

Education

• Bachelor's [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program
