Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our team in Myrtle Beach. The role emphasizes high-quality imaging, patient safety, and efficient workflow within a busy radiology department at a respected HCA Healthcare facility.

You will work closely with physicians and staff to ensure accurate image acquisition, proper patient positioning, and adherence to radiation safety guidelines in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (ARRT-R) Radiography
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Associate Degree, or Certificate

Responsibilities

• You will prepare patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into a specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
• You will minimize radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation safety
• You will operate diagnostic equipment, process images and prepare room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.
• You will have responsibilities relating to ensuring a positive patient encounter including maintaining accurate patient records, scheduling patients, overseeing patient transportation, ordering supplies and sustaining a healthy work environment.
