Responsibilities

Work in the heart of #humankindess at CHI LakeWood Health. We're hiring a full-time Radiology Technologist at our Critical Access Hospital! The Rad Tech works with patients to produce high-quality radiographs, computerized tomographic procedures (CT), and DEXA scans to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury as prescribed by physicians. No CT or DEXA experience? No problem! We will provide training and accept newly graduated RTs!

Every day, you could perform a variety of imaging examinations. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people, as you play a vital role in the patient experience.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to understand the importance of diagnostic imaging, including knowledge of the general imaging workflow, patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for accurate diagnosis.

What you'll do...

• Interpret clinical information efficiently to meet the radiology needs of patients.
• Perform thorough and accurate imaging techniques, including patient positioning according to the order.
• Monitor radiation exposure time and activity with high sensitivity.
• Apply sterile techniques and safety practices routinely for patients, team members, and yourself.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to prevent failures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• AAS Radiologic Technologist (RT) degree from an accredited program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or registry eligible within six (6) months of hire.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Preferred:

• CT trained
