Live Well Homecare in Madison, WI seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic X-rays, fluoroscopy, portable and OR exams. You will explain procedures, position patients, and follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.

The role includes preparing contrast media, monitoring patient activity, submitting high-quality images, and maintaining equipment in a clean department. Limited CT may be performed in emergencies.

Qualifications

  • Complete Radiology Technology program with ARRT-R certification within 6 months.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Must have BLS certification and state licensure or temporary accreditation.
  • Physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling.
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-rays including plain films, fluoroscopy, portable and OR exams.
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure correct positioning.
  • Prepare contrast media and monitor patient activity.
  • Submit high-quality images and maintain imaging equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe department; limited CT in emergent situations.

Additional Requirements:

Valid certifications in radiography and bone density, depending on the state. Physical ability to perform frequent lifting, moving patients, and equipment operation.
