Qualifications

  • Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist with knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) and State Registered Radiologic Technician required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate, and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Tech may include:

  • You will possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment.
  • You will obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
  • You will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patients and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated.
  • You will prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
  • You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.
  • You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination, and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician.
  • Associate Degree.
