Hi-Desert Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist - Advanced for night shifts. The role involves performing radiographic imaging, fluoroscopy, and DEXA scans as required, across inpatients, outpatients, ED, and OR settings.

You will operate radiology, CT, and MRI equipment while maintaining a high standard of patient care and safety. The candidate must hold CA CRT and Fluoroscopy licenses, ARRT R.T.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Current CA CRT certification and CA Fluoroscopy license; within 120 days if needed.
• ARRT R.T. (R) certification with CT and/or MRI experience.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum three years of continuous radiologic technologist experience.
• English communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment including CT, MRI, and DEXA as needed.
• Prepare radiographic exam rooms and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Provide imaging for inpatients, outpatients, ED, and other areas.
• Maintain QA and compliance with Joint Commission and regulations.

Hours: 0730PM - 0800AM

Under the supervision of the Radiologist and Department Management Team, the Radiology Technologist -Advanced (Tech) shall provide radiographic imaging services to patients by performing general diagnostic radiological procedures and general fluoroscopic procedures as required of the position of Tech. Additionally, the Tech will perform DEXA scans based on department needs. The Tech shall operate imaging equipment and image processing equipment, prepare radiographic exam rooms, and maintain department equipment and supplies. The Tech shall provide medical imaging services utilizing various modalities including Radiology, Computer Tomography, and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging; while maintaining competencies in these assigned areas. The Tech will provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient. Additionally, the Tech will provide services for inpatients, outpatients; hospital operating suites, the emergency department (ED), and the continuing care center (CCC).

Maintains quality assurance and performance improvement activities within the department as directed. Complies with all Joint Commission, federal, state and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Requires excellent customer service skills.

Required Minimum Education/Certification/Experience

• Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• Must have current CA - CRT certification; Certified by the State of California.
• Must have current CA - Fluoroscopy license; Certified by the State of California, or obtain one within 120 days of employment.
• Certified by the ARRT and must have a current ARRT R.T. (R) certification. Experience performing CT and/or MRI exams.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum of three (3) continuous years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred

• Competent skills to perform DEXA Scans.
• Three or more years of continuous CT and/or MRI experience.
• ARRT certification in CT and/or MRI.
