Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT (R) certification.
• Minimum of one (1) year of MRI experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Orthopaedic or musculoskeletal imaging experience in outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopic imaging procedures as ordered by orthopaedic providers in accordance with ALARA and safety principles.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal images of the musculoskeletal system (spine, joints, and extremities).
• Operate digital radiography (DR) and PACS equipment proficiently.
• Verify patient identification and confirm physician orders before performing examinations.
• Review and evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic completeness before submitting to physicians.
• Educate and guide patients through the imaging process, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation within the EHR and PACS systems.
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and radiation protection guidelines.

• Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) and PACS systems.


• Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of radiographic equipment and supplies.


• Adhere to all safety standards, infection control protocols, and radiation protection guidelines.


• Collaborate with orthopedic physicians, physician assistants, and clinical staff to ensure timely imaging workflow.


• Participate in ongoing quality assurance programs, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance procedures.


• Maintain continuing education and certification requirements in compliance with state and national standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program


• Certification and Experience:


• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R).


• Minimum of one (1) year of MRI experience.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

PREFERED QUALIFICATION

• Orthopaedic or musculoskeletal imaging experience in an outpatient setting.
