***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Provides services at the scope and level of an Ultrasound Technologist to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.
  2. Assists and guides Radiographers in performing x-ray procedures.
  3. Performs routine procedures on patients requiring specialized expertise.
  4. Prepares ultrasound area, equipment, contrast materials, and supplies as needed for patients.
  5. Assists Radiologist, other Physicians, and allied health care professionals in performing diagnostic or treatment procedures.
  6. Performs diagnostic testing on equipment and conducts general maintenance.
  7. Prepares patients for procedures.
  8. Develops film following photographic techniques.
  9. Monitors patient's and equipment's condition during procedures and reports changes to health care professionals.
  10. Performs diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays, CT, MRI, mammography, and ultrasound.
  11. Documents patient care services in records.
  12. Prepares patients for ultrasound procedures by positioning, immobilization, and adjusting equipment.
  13. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties and providing explanations.
  14. Minimizes radiation exposure using protective techniques and devices.
  15. Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols, manages reactions to drugs, and administers first aid when necessary.
  16. Maintains quality of radiographs or media following standards, develops radiographs, and makes adjustments as needed.
  17. Ensures operation and maintenance of radiology equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions and maintaining inventory.
  18. Maintains ultrasound supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
  19. Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  20. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Completed an approved Radiology Technologist program leading to a Diploma, Certificate, or Associate's degree.
  • Two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including one year ultrasound experience.
  • Valid license and current registration as a Radiological Technologist.
  • CPR certification.
  • Proficiency with computers, MS Office, and office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work in remote or challenging environments.
  • Ability to perform in high-stress, high-paced settings without physical limitations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to sudden changes and shift requirements.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
  • Work typically performed in an interior/office environment.
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods.
