Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist as required by the state.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Strong understanding of radiologic safety and radiation protection principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to perform X-rays, CT scans and fluoroscopy.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Review images for quality and assist radiologists with needed information.
• Maintain patient records and imaging logs in line with privacy standards.
• Follow safety protocols to protect patients, staff and self from unnecessary radiation.
