Overview:

Essential Functions:
Perform fluoroscopic and radiologic procedures for patients of all ages according to professional radiology standards.
Responsible for imaging patient care, file room tasks, clerical duties, physician assistance, and related support in the outpatient surgery department.
Supervision:
Reports to the Clinical Director
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and instruct patients for radiologic exams.
Ensure correct anatomical positioning and appropriate shielding.
Operate stationary or portable radiologic equipment and perform diagnostic imaging.
Assist with fluoroscopy procedures and monitor patients during imaging.
Apply radiation safety protocols, including use of protective devices.
Maintain and clean equipment and workspace.
Measure patient anatomy to adjust imaging parameters appropriately.
Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary reports.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in radiologic equipment and imaging techniques.
Strong knowledge of human anatomy and safety procedures in radiology.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and work effectively in a team.
Analytical thinking and the ability to act decisively.
Education and Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology issued by the Florida State Department of Health Services.
Either:
Two years of experience under an accredited medical radiologist, or
Completion of a two-year AMA/ACR-approved radiologic technology training program.
BLS Certification required.
Computer Skills:
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for communication and documentation.
Other Requirements:
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Capable of handling a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Willingness to work overtime if needed.
Ability to stay calm under pressure.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient movement.
Requires both sitting and standing typical of an operating room environment.
Capacity for focused concentration up to four hours.
Verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required.
Working Conditions:
Standard operating room environment, typically climate-controlled during business hours.
