Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists is looking for a Radiologic Technician to join our Southside clinic and deliver high-quality radiographs in a fast-paced orthopedic setting. You will prioritize patient safety, explain procedures clearly, and ensure accurate imaging to support diagnoses.

The role requires maintaining EMRs, uploading images to PACS, and performing routine equipment checks while adhering to safety protocols. Travel between locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BMO certification, BLS certification, and state licensure required.
• 1+ year experience in urgent care or patient care setting preferred; EMR knowledge helpful.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic imaging practices, anatomy, and radiographic safety.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional, friendly manner and explain procedures clearly.
• Produce high-quality radiographs to support accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain and update patient EMRs; provide copies of images upon request.
• Ensure images are uploaded correctly into PACS.
• Perform equipment checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance; arrange repairs when needed.
• Monitor radiation safety, protecting patients and staff at all times.
• Travel intermittently between clinic locations, as needed.

General Summary

• Greet patients in a professional, friendly manner and explain procedures clearly.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma/GED required.
• Certification: BMO certification (required); BLS certification; state licensure.
• Experience: 1+ year in urgent care or patient care setting preferred; EMR knowledge helpful.
• Knowledge: Medical terminology, diagnostic imaging practices, anatomy, radiographic safety, and equipment handling.
• Skills: Strong customer service, attention to detail, communication, and analytical abilities.
