Job summary

AvaMed Workforce is seeking a dependable Radiology Technician to provide diagnostic imaging services at a correctional facility in Represa, California. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team serving an incarcerated patient population.

Typical shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with orientation week and potential for extension or permanent state employment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Current California radiology certification appropriate to the duties.
• Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment.
• Meet credentialing, health screening and security clearance requirements.
• Correctional healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to orders and facility protocols.
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality images.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and provide professional care.
• Follow radiation safety and equipment safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation.
• Coordinate with medical providers, nursing staff, and custody personnel.
• Follow facility security requirements and patient confidentiality.
• Report equipment issues affecting safety or image quality.

2 weeks orientation Mon-Fri 7a-3:30p and 7am-4pm
