Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a day shift, PRN Urgent Care Radiology Tech to join Wanamaker Urgent Care.

You will perform radiologic exams, educate patients, uphold ALARA, assist radiologists, and ensure imaging quality. Eligible candidates graduate from ARRT Radiology Tech programs, obtain KS license within 6 months, are ARRT registered, and have BLS within 14 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ARRT Radiology Technology program.
• KS State Board of Healing Arts license within 6 months of hire.
• ARRT (R) registered.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiologic exams to support quality patient care.
• Educate patients on radiologic procedures and safety protocols.
• Consistently performs radiation safety in accordance with ALARA.
• Support the radiologist and evaluate imaging for quality and accuracy.
• Assist patients with positioning for the exam.
• Ensure imaging equipment is in optimum order and inform repairs when needed.

• Perform high-quality radiologic exams to support quality patient care

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited ARRT Radiology Technology school
• Kansas State Board of Healing Arts License within 6 months of hire
• ARRT (R) registered
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Preference will be given to ARRT (R) registered Radiologic Technologist with prior work experience in a healthcare setting.
