Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Radiology Technologist Student Extern to perform chest, abdominal, extremity and spine imaging under the direction of a qualified physician. This is a Flexi, rotating shift opportunity.

The role includes equipment operation, film development, patient prep, and clinical documentation, with duties including IV lines and lab work under supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and have completed 2 semesters of formal education accredited by ARRT
• Non-student tech roles must have 2 years patient care management experience
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• IV Therapy Certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform chest, abdominal, extremity, and spine radiological imaging studies under supervision
• Operate imaging equipment, develop films, and prepare patient room and equipment under direct supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist
• Provide clinical support including clinical documentation and duties such as IV lines and lab work
